In shape tweening, you draw a vector shape at one specific frame in the Timeline, and change that shape or draw another shape at another specific frame. Flash then interpolates the intermediate shapes for the frames in between, creating the animation of one shape morphing into another. This option will allow you morph images into text, text into images, and text into other text. To apply shape tweening to text, break the text apart twice to convert the text to objects. This must be done in order to reach the smallest pieces of each letter or the text. Follow these steps to create a shape tween with text:
1. In the first frame create the initial text.
2. In a later frame place the final text.
3. Break apart both text items (the first frame and the last) Be sure to do this twice for each item.
4. Click in any frame between the two in the timeline.
5. Insert > Shape Tween
6. To preview, scrub the playhead across the timeline (or press the enter key)
