Another option to a flatbed scanner

I have not seen a push to use flatbed scanners as I did several years ago. Do you need to go out and buy one? Not necessarily. Most people own a digital camera now and we can use them to copy flat artwork. Simply put your material on a flat surface, make sure you have even lighting over your material, and position the camera directly above. You could even use a tripod or copy stand to help steady things. Using your camera will eliminate any potential dust spots and blemishes caused by the flatbed scanner. This whole process is especially helpful when you have material larger than your scanner bed. Give it a try!
