I use Access almost daily to summarize equipment data, and get overviews of equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, job plans, etc. I use existing tables from our Maximo database. The 2007 Access is different from the older Access I was using, and I'd like to get some formal training on the 2007 version.

As a Research Analyst in the Center for Health Care and Policy Research, I will be managing an Access database with information about public reports of physician and hospital quality. I would like to become more familiar with the functions of Access such as maintaining records, producing reports, and developing forms. This will help me take a more active role in analyzing the data. I have had some basic training in Access, but have not used the program in several years.

As I become more active in my current position, I will need to have a greater knowledge of Access and how it works and how to input information and how to pull information. We currently use the program to pull data together in order to provide analysis on course enrollments. We also use Access to keep track of course and instructor information. I would like to have a better understanding of how the program works. I would like to have functions defined. I would also like to know how to create databases, as well as how to link to already established databases and how to run reports/queries.
Thank you!

I do not have experience with Access. We have been maintaining some data in Excel sheets, but feel Access would be a more practical application. I would like to begin transferring the data to Access as soon as possible.

I have spend very little time in past jobs using Access, but now use it on a daily basis. I would like a thorough introduction to database concepts and the features of Access in order to build upon those concepts and make the most use of the program. Also, I want to get a good overview of the basics and then move on to the more advanced functions so that I will be able to build a database in Access independently.

As an administrative assistant for Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum, I have been maintaining an existing Access database. However, I have no formal training in Access. I have only been shown what I need to know to add, delete, and update records.
I hope to learn how to create a new database, how to create customized reports, and shortcuts which might apply to my current use of Access.
