The status bar located along the bottom of the Excel 2007 interface provides enhanced options for performing quick calculations without creating expressions. In this version multiple values for summaries such as sum, average, and numerical count may be displayed simultaneously. To view and add these options, right-click on the status bar and select the desired options. To perform the specified calculations, select a range of values in the worksheet. The status bar will automatically reflect the summary value information for the selected range. This can be a helpful tool for what-if analysis and quick looks at an overall data set or specific parts of a data set.
