Using Photoshop for Tattoo Removal

So you want to remove that bad tattoo from your left arm or maybe you don't like Uncle Chris anymore and you want to remove them from last year's holiday photos.
Several years ago this was quite tedious because we only had the "Clone Stamp" tool to adjust imperfections. Since the last few upgrades in the Creative Suites (CS) versions of Photoshop we have several tools at our disposal. Currently we have access to the Spot Healing Brush, Healing Brush, and Patch Tool. These tools let us make small to large corrections respectively. Unlike the Clone Tool that copies information and places it in the damaged area exactly as it was sampled the healing brushes and patch tool blend the sampled area and the target areas together. The blending is so perfect it's almost magical. I still use the clone too, but now I use it in conjunction with the clone tools. Basically I do not limit myself to one specific tool. I find that I use 2-3 of them to correct a given blemish sampling from a variety of target areas so I don't create any repeated patterns.
Give it a try.....you can always erase the mistakes and start all over again!
