By default, Excel worksheets print without gridlines. Excel 2007 provides multiple ways to print with the gridlines visible. While you can still check the Gridlines box on the Sheet tab in the Page Setup dialog box, there is also an easier way to turn on gridlines for printing. The Page Layout tab of the Ribbon contains a group called Sheet Options. In that group, there is a Print checkbox under Gridlines. Checking this box is the equivalent of checking the box on the Sheet tab. In fact, if you use the dialog box launcher in the lower right of the Sheet Options group, you can launch the Sheet tab of the Page Setup dialog box to confirm that the check mark appears on both the Ribbon and in the dialog box.
