The Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup Tool is used for Outlook versions from 2002 and later. The tool provides a way to backup the personal folders. A backup is different from the Archive function in that a backup makes a copy of the folders and retains them in Outlook and an Archive removes the items from your Outlook folders to Archive them.
